This is called "The Column" and it is the highest point in Astoria. It is an observation tower and it has a spiral staircase inside that is exactly 164 steps from the bottom to the observation deck. The outside has all of this intricate engraving in the cement about the history of the area and it is really very beautiful.
Warren went up all the way to the top while hunter and I stayed below and watched.
This is just one of the pictures Warren took of us on the ground while he was on the observation deck. We were looking at a map that showed all the rivers and where the Columbia meets the Pacific Ocean.
