Last Saturday

It all started with a couple light bulbs that needed to be changed. I climbed up there and then I saw all the dust and thought about the last time I cleaned the fans...about a year ago. Then, I had to remove all the bulb covers and put them in the dishwasher while I went about dusting and cleaning all of the ceiling fans. Please keep in mind that we have 5 of these and 2 of them run full time around here. So, I got everything cleaned up, the burnt bulbs replaced and the bulb covers back on. Do you know that this took a couple hours!!! All of that just to replace a bulb or two - sheeshhh! Then, to top this off, I flip on the light in the bedroom this morning and one of the bulbs that I did not change had burnt out. What the hell?

Thank You Card

Here is a quick little thank you card that I put together last night; I scrap lifted the idea from a magazine. Of course it has purple and I kinda like it after looking at it awhile. Maybe I will turn it landscape next time so I don't go outside the boarder with the flowers.

Ok....who is ready to find out?

So, here is the news...
Warren and I are starting a promotional business! Our business name is "Triple E Promotions" and this is our logo. We will be able to print anything on just about anything. This is so exciting for us!

We will have our own ink pad stamper, screen printer, vinyl cutter, twisted pen factory and button maker. We will be capable of stamping logos on anything (pens, key chains, water bottles...), screen printing (T-shirts, signs, frisbees...), embroidery (corporate apparel, uniforms, caps...), vinyl graphics (signs, banners, vehicle graphics...), laser engraving (glassware, trophies, plaques...). The list is truly endless!

We have a week of training coming up and then we will be off and running - right out of the house. We have already made several contacts and have some orders just waiting to be taken once we get back home.

Ok - the whole cat is out of the bag...finally!

Camping, Hunting and Smores

Here is a picture of the Smore Makers in camp this past weekend. We had the regular fare of Hershey's chocolate bars and graham crackers but we switched it up with the marsh mellows. We had carmel flavored and chocolate flavored marsh mellows and they were both Yummy!

Hint For The Weekend...

This is the best hint I can give right now. It has to do with this machine and we will be gone for an entire week. I am not ready to let the entire cat out of the bag....just the tail!
I am still waiting for just a few little things to tie themselves up...
Then, we will have the big announcement.

The Ramp at Mom & Dad's

I mentioned in the last post that my dad got a Hover Round to get to and from. Their house is NOT wheel chair friendly do we have been working on moving some things around so he can actually use this nice little scooter. Several of us have been working on different things over the last few weeks. We all managed to get the laundry room rearranged and the hot tub and patio furniture moved and then came the ramp. This is a before picture of the back door to the patio...

This is the after picture of the ramp that we built and installed. We finally got the rolled roofing on and completed this week. Now he can scoot around and enjoy his new freedom a little more.

The New Pond in Prineville

My dad read about a new pond that Crook County Parks & Recreation put in recently so he wanted to take Hunter down for fishing. It is a little ways from the parking lot so we took Dad's new hot rod so he could ride from the parking lot to the pond - this little Hover Round really scoots! The pond was stocked with bass by the Oregon Fish & Game Department; they are supposed to stock it with trout next month. This is a picture of Dad tying a rooster tail onto Hunter's line.
This is a picture of Hunter casting out - he is trying to perfect his casting.

Here is my honey with my little Brandy. They went for a walk and are in front of the little waterfall where the water enters the pond.

This is a picture of Dad and I out on the little pier they built on one end of the pond. I am digging through the tackle trying to find something that might get a bass to bite.

This is Hunter fishing off of that little pier. Apparently the fish have all been caught or they were not too hungry for what he had to offer. Hunter had to go home empty handed...

Bow Hunting Camp

Here is a glimpse of bow hunting camp. We are camping with the Headley's and it is kinda nice to have someone else around this year. Unfortunately the bees were terrible at first so it wasn't so enjoyable for me. Apparently the bee problem has been solved so I can go back to camp and actually enjoy being outside!

Yard Sale Goody

Here is one of my yard sale goodies from last week. It still had one of the tags on it and it is a Liz Claiborne but I only paid $3.00. Now I have to get a pair of Fat Babies to match!

Before & After

Ok - so here is my hair on Sunday, August 30th. I have my fair share (plus some) of grey and it has been prospering since I was 16 or so. Unfortunately, I have spent a lot of time in the sun this summer so it has gotten even lighter. I needed a rope perm - obviously it is time even though it has only been 5 months. When I got the perm on August 31st my hair got even LIGHTER! I got the perm at 8 in the morning and Terri was done by 10:30. I had been thinking about having a dye job and the color of my hair after the perm was enough to make the decision for me. At 1 o'clock I returned to Miss Terri and now we have this
So, I guess it was time to wash away the grey. After all, with the new adventure coming up I think it may even help... Now, I gotta work on the double chin and then it will be even better. Here is a little funny - I walked into Wells Fargo this afternoon and Pam didn't even recognize me :-)
