Astoria-The Beach at Hammond...


We got to spend some time on the beach so we went to the area directly below Fort Stevens. I took a bunch of pictures of the Coast Guard helicopter that was going through manuvers over the beach. This was kind of interesting to watch.




Here is Hunter playing in the waves along the beach. We really didn't get any shells since the tide was at about a 1.6. Warren did find a whole sand dollar though.




This is a picture of Hunter, Brandy and I in front of the Wreck of the Peter Iredale. This is a ship that wrecked on this beach in 1906 and part of the steel hull is still here; this is part of the state park.
