You talk about funny....get a load of this...
This is Maddie, our boarder collie, during the winter. We will just call this "Before Daschel".
We had a bumper crop of foxtails and it has been HOT since the tail end of June this year. Between the fox tails and the heat poor little Maddie was a matted mess. This doesn't even begin to describe all the stuff she drags in the house with her hair either. So, we decided to have her shaved.
This is Maddie in the summer...after she saw Daschel the groomer.
The first time my sister saw her shaved she commented about us adopting another dog since she was here last!
This is my sweet but very hairy Boone. He is a blue heeler with a little kelpie thrown in for good measure. He sheds constantly and it is always that fluffy, downy, floaty stuff.
You can just guess what happened to him...
Boone got to go see sweet little Daschel also and she clipped him up good.
Both of the dogs feel better in the heat and they seem to stay foxtail free. they will be getting shaved much earlier next year.
